Partnerships & Collaborations

We rely on local and international partners to continue and expand the work we do.

We partnered with Worldwide Veterinary Service to deliver a 2 week Animal Birth Control training course to 14 Rwandan veterinarians, sterilising over 80 dogs.

We partnered with the University of Global Health Equity’s Centre for One Health and Tufts University to create a rabies awareness comic book, in Kinyarwanda, covering important topics such as responsible dog ownership, animal welfare and rabies prevention.

We partnered with the Foundation for Veterinary Aid International to run the first ever mass sterilisation campaigns in Kigali and the Eastern Province, sterilising 268 dogs (and a few cats!) over 8 days and vaccinating over 400 dogs against rabies.

We partnered with the University of Rwanda to host 3 veterinary students for their final-year internship, building the capacity of the future veterinarians of Rwanda.

If you are interested in partnering with WAG to deliver veterinary care to animals in need, run education or training programmes, expand our rescue and rehabilitation work, or fundraise for us, please email info@wagrwanda.org – we’d love to hear from you!
